I recently forwarded several phdcomic strips to a good friend of mine who's currently completing a Ph.D. We shared a good laugh and she thought the comics were a good representation of her current state! Anyway, I hope she completes it before she loses her sanity =P
Welcome! This blog is full of cute & entertaining stuff I want to share with you, plus some lifestyle tips for lazy girls like myself.

Sleep Cycle Alarm Clock
If you're an iPhone user like me then you've probably heard of an app called 'Sleep Cycle Alarm Clock'. I've been using this app for several months now and I still use it daily!
The app monitors your movement during sleep using the extremely sensitive accelerometer in your iPhone, then finds the optimal time to wake you up during a 30 minute window that ends at your set alarm time.
In addition, it also saves your sleep data and displays a detailed sleep graph (like the one below) and sleep statistics for every night you use it.
DIY cucumber mask
Here's a very quick & easy 'recipe' for a soothing mask to brighten your skin.
You'll need:
Half a cucumberOne table spoon of natural yogurt
What to do:
What skin type are you?
Having good skin is the fundamental to looking your best, but as everyone knows, a hectic lifestyle can leave little time for pore pampering.
So let's start off with the basics. The first key to speedy skincare if to understand what kind of skin you have so you know what products are suitable for your skin type. Products that works great on your best friend doesn't mean it will do you the same favours.
Dry skin
- Prone to flakiness and never feels moisturised unless you've just applied moisturiser
- Unable to retain moisture
- Often feels tight
- Without extra care, this type of skin is prone to premature aging
What to do
- Don't use tap water or soap, instead use a rich cold cream to cleanse
- Massage your skin with moisturising oil or serum every night to help stimulate the sebaceous glends into producing more sebum
- Be generous with eye cream in the areas surrounding the eyes
